Bring on the Crafternoons!

I'm back to making craft awesomeness happen. Yay! I had a lull after the wedding then finishing up the book. But now - I've got my crafty mojo back. Bring it on!

The past couple of weeks I've spent revisiting my Thrifty By Design logo and website. I set up my TBD blog and website years ago and have given it minor tweeks here and there. And now was the time to give it a total overhaul. TBD has become something different from what I first envisioned and the design needed to reflect that. So I found new fonts and reworked my logo, came up with a new tagline then the look and feel of the website and blog grew from that.

The new look also required a revamp of the site architecture - I wanted to simplify my site plus make it easier for my peeps to find upcoming Crafternoons and any recent news. Once the website was done then I updated my blog and then all of my social media channels. Phew! A lot of work but so much fun! And I was able to do all of the work on my own. I'm not an uber talented designer / developer but I can hack my way through it. Just like crafting and upcycling!

The website has a lot of black text on white with tons of photos. You can find info about me and TBD, upcoming events, latest news, how to stay in touch and soon I'll post more about the crafty book.

Exciting news! I have a few more upcycling workshop partners to add to my roster... First I heard from North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission (NVRC) then from Bird on a Wire Creations and then from Homesteader's Emporium. All great additions to the TBD family. I also submitted a proposal for the 2015 THESA Conference for a Crafting with 'Crap' workshop. They accepted my proposal. Next up? People need to register for it. I could be crafting with Home Ec teachers from all over BC. Things just get kewler and kewler!
