Happy summer TinyLetter peeps! Hope everyone is busy with tons of fun, crafty adventures. I know I am! And I have loads of Crafternoons coming up...
I've got more crafty, upcycling partners. Yay! First I heard from North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission (NVRC) and I've partnered up with them for three craft events this summer. Last weekend I took charge of the craft table at the Summer Solstice Block Party in Lynn Valley Village. It was a blast! Next up is the Village Family Fun Fest on July 8th and then the Village Arty Party on August 6th. Here's hoping that TBD & NVRC keep crafting together for the long haul. My NVRC peeps are awesome!
I'm also planning two upcycling workshops with my super lovely friend Kate from Bird on a Wire. They won't be until the Fall - most likely October and December. I'll keep you posted. I'm super stoked to be working with one of my most favourite crafty friends.
And today I heard from Kelsey, the Community Engagement Coordinator, at Homesteader's Emporium. She's very kewl! And we're going to partner up for two upcycling workshops for kids this summer. One on July 26th and one on August 9th at Homesteader's Emporium. I'll send out details soon - projects, times, cost and registration info.
Here's the rundown on Crafternoons for July and August. Join me for one or more!
The book is... DONE! Yahoo!! I reviewed the text, lay outs, photos, graphics and then wrote up the final pages. It's looking so darn awesome! I feel very grown up... WOW!! I can't wait till it's out this Xmas. Looks like we'll be organizing a book launch at the North Vancouver City Library. Stay tuned for details!
IN OTHER NEWS...
I updated both of my websites (www.denisecorcoran.com & www.thriftybydesign.ca) on the weekend plus updated my CV for Thrifty By Design. I have been busy! And I'm developing some ideas for crafty domination with my super kewl agents Nigel and Ben at Integral Artists. 2015 is pretty darn FAB so far. Maybe we'll be able to make it even better.
And soon I hope to have news about Roly and I. This whole marriage thing is unbelievable! He's one amazing husband. Yay for love!
