It's been a few months since our last Asymmetric update, partially because in that time we've been working on West of Loathing more-or-less non-stop (which is also a useful strategy if you want to try to avoid reading the news). An update is long overdue, though, so here we go!
Back in October, we showed West of Loathing at IndieCade in Los Angeles. Tons of folks got to play the demo, and we got lots of great feedback. WoL was also named a finalist in the 2016 Intel Game Dev Contest! We're accumulating laurels so fast we'll be able to make a tree soon.
The sneakily educational word game we made with Touch Press Games was finally released on iOS -- it's called Masterswords, and you can try it out for free. It has a single-player campaign, some endless challenge modes, and multiplayer! Look at all these monsters, geez:
Over in Kingdom of Loathing the holiday season has given way to the... tentacle season? Eldritch horrors abound as adventurers try to fight off Sssshhsssblllrrggghsssssggggrrgglsssshhssslblgl. (You should see for yourself -- just visit Seaside Town today!)
Don't forget that KoL's Spring Challenge Path starts in two weeks, on Valentine's Day. And in an effort to add more love to the world, February's Item-of-the-Month is a heart-shaped crate that unfolds into an entrance to the mysterious Tunnel of L.O.V.E. (Also, today is the last day to get January's totally-not-a-metroid-for-copyright-reasons Familiar of the month as well.)
