“The road must eventually lead to the whole world.”

Hello letter friends,

Today I have prepared for you another brief missive. I’m on my way out the door to fly to Berlin and spend the next week there. I will not have a newsletter for you next Friday, but if you follow me on Twitter, I might have a thought or two there.

I know my newsletters have been on the lean side lately. I hope to have a nice, refreshing spring break and return to creativity as normal. Or perhaps even better.

Also, a note that if you send me email in the near future, or place a sticker order, I’ll be just a bit delayed getting back to you.

Let’s get going.

The infantilizing ways we talk about women’s ambition.

The vicious circle holding female directors back.

How Richard Simmons got trapped in his own mythology.

Love in the time of cryptography.

This past week saw the 100th birthday of the best damn city flag ever.

A Vanity Fair profile of illustrator Robert McGinnis.

Why authoritarians attack the arts.

That’s all for today. Thank you for reading.

Have an adventure, however you can.
