Not Rocket Science

"We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology" -Carl Sagan

When I first read that quote from Carl Sagan, I felt like he was talking directly to me. "It's true!" I thought, "I know hardly anything about science!" I decided to turn that frustration into confidence and start this weekly newsletter to explore, examine, and explain what I believe to be facts about science.

For example, did you know that all people are made of dust? (Weird but true!) Did you know that you can tell how old a planet is by counting its rings? (Earth is zero.) Did you know that magnets often push away the people closest to them? (Sad.) I didn't know these things either, but they sound almost right.
