3, 2, 1 ... 5th Annual #TwelvetideDrabbles Starts Tomorrow!

Greetings Fellow Scribbler!

Are your pencils sharpened? Your fingers limber for the keyboard? Your ideas beginning to germinate? The 5th annual Twelvetide Drabbles challenge begins tomorrow! Join us for two weeks of writing and sketching as we warm ourselves for the holidays with fanfic and fanart for the season.

The collection at Archive of Our Own will open for posting works at 9:00am EST (UTC -5) tomorrow, December 24th.

You are welcome post your work simultaneously via any other forum where you share your work as well. We'd love it if, when posting on social media, you use the tags #TwelvetideDrabbles and/or #12td19 so that we can signal boost your work and others can learn about the challenge (and perhaps join us!).

Challenge Rules
  • All fic entries should be short (100 words is, strictly speaking, the length of a drabble...you may hold yourself to that or just keep it brief).
  • All art should be a single image.
  • You may post multiple prompt fills per prompt; you do not have to post fills for every prompt. Participate at any level that works for you.
  • Entries should be in response to / inspired by the day's prompt however directly, loosely, or subversively you wish to draw the connection.
  • In order to count toward the drabble match donation to the Environmental Defense Fund, works must be posted between 9:00am EST (UST -5) on 24 December 2019 and 9:00pm EST (UST -5) on 6 January 2020. The collection will be open for new works to be added only during this window of time.
  • If you choose to publish some or all of your prompt fills as chapters in a single work each chapter will count as an independent submission for the purposes of the match fund.
  • There aren't really any other rules -- thanks for joining us!
***SPOILER THE 2019 PROMPTS ARE BELOW IF YOU WANT THEM***
