close publishes monthly writing exploring intimacy, intimate lives, and objects. Each month we feature the work of a different writer who will consider intimacy, its pleasures and its discontents, to interrogate feeling, friendship and bodies. In close we look to intimacies that are shared, that challenge, that negate and that allow other, alternative, marginalised histories to be told. We look to unexamined relationships with partners, lovers, family, animals and homes, and invite writers to ruminate in the messy terrain of affect and emotion.
